Two young people — between two worlds — embody Pentheus and Dionysus, seeking, through ancient and modern texts, to uncover origins, to remember, to recall.
Technology. Progress. Development.
What did the ancients call Anánke (Necessity)?
Why are the four seasons disappearing?
What is humanism?
Is humankind truly the center of our world?
Do we possess ecological consciousness?
Why do great civilizations vanish?
At the heart of the performance lies the Hill family, in a collective search for euphoria through coexistence. On this arduous journey toward memory, they are joined by four musicians — composers and performers — and the actress-director Sophia Hill herself. Each artist composes original music, setting to melody choral passages from ancient tragedies and other texts, while also performing pieces from classical and traditional music.
The path against oblivion is painful — yet catharsis is inevitable.
The epilogue, however, resounds as a hymn to life.
