Kapitsinos tower at Langada

The war tower of Kapitsinos, in Langada, built in the early 19th century, is a representative example of a pre-revolution defensive tower in Mani. Morphologically plain, the five storey tower has a square ground plan. It has many of the features of similar towers in Mani, such as the small arched windows in the upper levels, gun-loops on all floors in various heights and a defensive parapet, with one turret at each corner on the top level, above the roof.
